Babi Guling with long queue of locals at Warung Sanur. For about S$3+ (this is the more expensive special large portion), you get a soft drink (my drink of choice in Bali is the famous Teh Botol), a rice plated with generous slice of Babi Guling, cracking crackling, homemade sausage, sate and a spicy soup made with chicken, pork and the stem of the banana tree. Basically, this was the best meal I had in Bali.

3. Play with your food
An essential destination on any foodie's hit list is Spice at the Conrad Bali hotel in Nusa Dua. The Blumenthal-phile chef, Ketut Gede Eka Kurniawan, serves up a molecular menu introduced by founding chef Gary Rosen. The experimental delights, such as steak imbued with the sweet smell of chocolate cake, play sublime havoc with your senses.

Sanur
Places to eat - Made's Warung in Kuta - in the st that runs off Kuta Square, Papa's on the beach near Hard Rock Hotel, Aroma cafe (middle of Jalan Legian), are some good places to eat.. Palace (in Galeria Kuta) is a rave Chinese restaurant, it costs around $10 for all you can eat, didn't try it though..

To get a pre-paid taxi, turn right as you exit the airport, the pre-paid taxi counter is along that wall
